If you were to ask me what is accounting before doing this course I would have said its working with figures and manipulating them for reporting and keeping track of a business’s finances.

I now see its more than that, it’s looking at the big picture of the whole company and how it operates. Before I was thinking accounts was something mainly other accountant’s needed to look at but I see the accounting documents hold a lot of valuable information many interested parties would need to know about how the business operates.
